Formed in Glastonbury in early 1977, 6 piece SKA BOP played their first gig at the local Assembly Rooms in April, from which they were immediately asked to play that year’s Glastonbury Festival.

 They have since played at Glastonbury, Ashton Court Community Festival and many others, and to sell-out audiences at numerous West Country venues including the Bristol Thekla and Bath’s Moles club.

Playing the music that rocked the dance halls of Jamaica in the 60's - Ska, rock steady and early reggae Ska Bop pay tribute to the Skatalites, Prince Buster's All Stars,
The Soul Brothers and the Rest.

Going back to the same sources of R & B, Latin and Jazz, they play with a passionate commitment to the authentic, original Ska and defy the audience not to dance!
