Dik Banovich has been on the folk & blues scene for more years than he cares to remember. Brought up in Chicago, his rythmic finger picking style and warm expressive vocals reveal his early exposure to the blues, and the influences of his Irish - Slavic roots.

The Guitar has taken him on an amazing musical journey through many styles of playing - from blues to bluegrass - from traditional celtic folk to swing and back again - but he somehow manages to combine all this musical diversity into a sound which is unique, sometimes haunting, sometimes almost disturbing - particularly in his own original songs and instrumentals.

He says he’s on a voyage of self discovery - but what we hear is the celt, the slav, and the bluesman - in other words, we hear him.
